TAU consolidates its international leadership after successfully taking part in Cersaie 2009
TAU’s participation in Cersaie, the international ceramic floor and wall tile show held in Bologna (Italy) every year, has now drawn to a close. The company’s hard work on providing a wide, innovative catalogue of solutions to meet all the requirements of even the most demanding markets paid off once again, making the event a huge success in terms both of attendance and results.

After it was all over the head of the company, Carlos Camahort said that “we’re really pleased because, once again, our customers and friends - and also professionals in general - have come to our stand to find out more about our catalogue of new products, showing the level of trust in the work of the people who make up the TAU team”.

Mr Camahort continued by highlighting the success of ideas such as Mythos, the refined porcelain stoneware product inspired by conventional natural stone and Fiber, one of the new series which have been launched to coincide with the public presentation of the new 20x60 wall tile formats, together with other models such as Ombrone and Magma, both in 45x90.

He also said that he was especially pleased with the reception given to the TAU eco tiles, products manufactured with at least 45% recycled materials, making it one of the most outstanding examples of the company’s commitment to sustainability and protecting the environment.

The head of TAU ended by pointing out that visitors had welcomed the new stand design which the company unveiled at the event. It is larger, with themed areas, and the information is better organised and accessible to all visitors, and this was reflected in the way that the values which each product brings to the fields of design, architecture and interior design were presented and put across.

“All of this means that we’re in a wonderful position now that demand is picking up on a few of the major international markets, such as Germany, France and the UK, three countries which are already emerging from the economic recession and with which TAU already had excellent commercial relations, and this means we can be very optimistic in looking to the short term and, especially, the medium term”, Mr Camahort adds.

The official details of visitors to Cersaie 2009 show that, in spite of the difficult worldwide economic situation, the Italian show is continuing to set standards in its own specialist area. Indeed, this year it managed to attract more than 80,000 visitors, i.e. almost exactly the same number recorded in 2008. Similarly, Cersaie also brought more than 23,000 international customers together under one roof, demonstrating that the market is starting to become interested in doing business again, with the aim of gradually leaving the most devastating effects of the worldwide economic and financial recession seen over the last few months behind.
