Our ceramic products are based on raw materials and firing processes, a change of constitution that takes place with the use of natural forces and energy. In TAU’s industrial premises we can find the largest pond and water park within an industrial area in the province of Castellón.
In Tau Ceramic we think that incorporating environmental awareness to the company management is a highly valued asset, as the couple industry-environment is beginning to be regarded as a competitive factor for a marketplace that is more and more conscious about being respectful with the quality of the environment. As a proof of the above mentioned, we must highlight the actions that Tau Ceramic has taken on this matter, such as wastewater treatments, solid waste management, atmospheric emission and noise pollution.
The first measure taken was an environmental assessment including an examination of the operational procedures and the controls performed and a subsequent comparison with the legislation in force. This examination was carried out by the Institute of Ceramic Technology (I.T.C.) and an assessment of the atmospheric emission levels was simultaneously carried out by NOVOTEC.
This environmental assessment constituted the first stage within the design and implementation of an Environmental Management System that, due to the exporting inclination of Tau Ceramic, complies with the standard ISO 14.001.
