TAU Cer\u00e1mica<\/strong> will be the first collaborating company in the ceramic sector to support Valencia as the World Design Capital 2022<\/strong>. Following several months of work, it was made official at the last edition of Cevisama 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through the decision to collaborate with Valencia as World Design Capital 2022<\/strong><\/a>, TAU Cer\u00e1mica further affirms its continuous commitment to and vocation for design and being on the cutting edge as a differential value in ceramic tiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n Last September, the city of Valencia came out ahead of the other finalist, India\u2019s Bengalore. Thus, a Spanish city was chosen for the first time ever by the World Design Organization. The Associaci\u00f3 Val\u00e8ncia Capital del Disseny<\/strong><\/a> was the association that proposed the city as a candidate for World Design Capital 2022 as finally selected by the World Design Organization<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Being named World Design Capital is not an event for the city of Valencia. It\u2019s a process.<\/strong> Design is thus a tool for generating innovation capabilities in urban environments which should help resolve problems and overcome conflicts in the short-term and foster systemic changes in the medium and long-term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Although it is being promoted through the city of Valencia, this project aims to include the interests of Alicante and Castell\u00f3n<\/strong> as an impetus and driving force for the entire Valencia region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This designation is a success and opportunity for the entire Comunitat Valenciana<\/a><\/strong>. It\u2019s part of the will to connect the whole region through Castell\u00f3n, a pioneer after including design in its university programme offering and the engine behind the great ceramic tile industry, in addition to Alicante, which is a national example of the birthplace of business with companies in various sectors having included design in their strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Design is a driver of innovation and competition, facilitates change and is a way to introduce the smart city idea as the foundation for enhancing communication, the environment, quality of life and more prosperous local communities<\/strong>.
