{"id":348497,"date":"2021-11-15T16:21:07","date_gmt":"2021-11-15T15:21:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tauceramica.com\/?p=348497"},"modified":"2021-11-15T16:22:17","modified_gmt":"2021-11-15T15:22:17","slug":"tips-for-keeping-your-ceramic-just-like-new","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tauceramica.com\/en\/tips-for-keeping-your-ceramic-just-like-new\/","title":{"rendered":"Tips for keeping your ceramic just like new"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The main difference between <strong>porcelain tile floors<\/strong> and other types of <strong>paving<\/strong> is the minimal water absorption (below 0.5%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The high temperatures to which <strong>ceramic tiles<\/strong> are exposed in furnaces during baking lead to chemical reactions that make the pieces extremely resistant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, they\u2019re compact, impermeable products that barely need any maintenance. <strong>Ceramic tiling<\/strong> is becoming more and more popular in homes and projects precisely for these very reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonetheless, some products such as colouring can come into contact with a <strong>ceramic<\/strong> surface and stain it. We recommend cleaning as quickly as possible when this happens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Never clean recently-installed<strong> tiles<\/strong> with acid-based cleaners. The acid could react with the unset cement which would damage the seams and leave insoluble compounds on top of the ceramic pieces. Never use cleaners with hydrofluoric acid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For regular maintenance, all you need is water and a degreaser. We recommend pH-neutral cleaners without any shining agents or wax. For example, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agc.com.es\/index.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.agc.com.es\/index.html\">AGC-Grease<\/a><\/strong> or something similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not use metal spatulas or abrasive scourers.
